The facilitator in a Wraparound team carries many roles and responsibilities. Among these are the responsibilities and tasks related to establishing a team in which as many participants as possible are fully engaged and “working” with others. This session will explore the tasks and “art” of developing an effective team from the very first conversations to the closing of the formal team process. In particular this session will examine tools and skills facilitators need in order to maintain a capacity to enact more than one approach to generating teams. Moving from a “team is for families” to a “team is our tool” approach is one of the possible approaches to team formation and support. Join us to explore operative frameworks around this core task for Wraparound facilitators.
1. Participants will learn and practice the elements of an alternative approach to team formation useful with family’s and team members
3. Participants will practice developing tools useful for assessing team participation and satisfaction that support effective membership
