Series Overview 

“The Healing Stage: Learning Throughout Implementation”  

This three-part series will focus on the Healing Stage of Wraparound. Typically the longest stage in the process, effective facilitation of the healing stage is based in supporting families and teams to develop an on-going cycle of learning and adaptation. The quest for an improved fit between unmet need and the help and support delivered through the wraparound process is a t the core of the Healing Stage. The series looks at important components of the facilitation process that supports this growth. 

Session 1: May 10, 2021, 1 – 3 PM 

This session will focus on tools and processes used by facilitators to help teams monitor and maintain a sense of progress across the life of the planning cycle. A structured agenda for managing meetings, that includes steps for addressing progress, will be offered and reviewed 

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Participants will learn to identify, monitor and report on benchmarks for family team progress 
  1. Participants will learn an agenda for managing Healing stage meetings. 

Session 2: May 17, 2021, 1 – 3 PM 

This session will focus on the facilitator actions and tools that help team improve the content and targeting of their plan of care at each meeting. Frameworks for evaluating the content of wraparound plans, during this stage, will be presented. 

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Participants will learn process steps for assuring that critical wraparound process elements 9Dtrengths, needs) are integrated into on-going and adapting plans of care 
  1. Participants will learn the use tools that support teams in making appropriate plan refinements that improve the fit between what a youth and family need and the help and support they receive as a part of Wraparound 

Session Three: May 24, 2021, 1 – 3 PM 

As the longest stage, with the most meetings, in the Wraparound process, the Healing stage presents challenges for facilitators in keeping the process fresh and focused for participants. This session will focus on tips and tools for adapting the on-going planning cycle and the meeting process to keep fresh energy and ideas flowing in a group that has a growing history together. The session will also encourage reflection on learnings from the entire series to help bring all the pieces together. 

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Participants will learn meeting and content adaptations that rejuvenate team energy and commitment to the meeting and planning process 
  1. Participants will develop a personalized development plan for implementing new approaches to the Healing stage in individual teams they facilitate
